There was one pair of white promo records in particular that came into my hands that made me think of a logo for this website. I always kept track of that pair as because I knew they had something to do with the logo coming into reality. When I saw the response the website the first week I knew I had to do this.
As the logos came in I got more and more excited, but ultimately I was not prepared to make such a tough decision. I considered a lot of factors and ultimately decided on the winner because it told people who didn’t know what a control record was that it’s DJ thing and that we know what we are talking about.
My heartfelt thanks go to each of you who entered. We will be making some swag in time for the NAMM show in January (more on that later) and each of you will get a little package. There were 4 designs that stood out to me the most and with the permission of each designer I would like to make each one into a limited edition shirt. There will be 4 CRG reps at the NAMM show this year and we need a shirt for each day. Of course, each of those designers will also get a shirt once they are printed.
So….the big congrats go to Ricky Jordan aka SIRocket on the Serato Forums. Ricky’s designs have already made a big mark in the pro DJ world so it is an honor to have his art on this website.
